The Indian government is striving to accelerate the market shift to energy efficient products and appliances. The efficiency improvements in mechanical systems will be critical to restraining growth in energy consumption and emissions. In this context, there is a strong need to develop technologies to bring out energy efficient mechanical engineering products and systems.
